AGREED. The recent trend is not moving the game in a good direction for the players.
Also, it seems like it might make sense for the cost of premium items to go down a little when new items/levels are released like normal buildings do.

Absolutely. This would encourage people to spend more donuts. At least this way if you bought something with donuts that you weren't happy with, you could trade it in for something else instead of just being disillusioned and never wanting to spend donuts again.
