It's nice, isn't it?

Yeah big time!!! :) the crashing situation has been resolved due to them stopping the friends bonus glitch as that's what's caused the majority of crashing issues along with the snow update, but we bk to normal now awww the bliss of no crashing :D
  • I'm loving it.

I really enjoyed the snow, but I will agree that it is more challenging to decorate with it.

More importantly, though, is the lack of crashing. Prior to the update, I would crash so much that even a single tap would boot me from the game. I sent my characters on 24 hour missions just so I wouldn't have to tap them.

With the update, I spent a ton of money on the new items and corresponding designs. I like where my Springfield is now and I eagerly await the next update (which I hope is next week for Valentine's Day with Ralph). Still, it was nice to redesign without the constant crashing.

And for that, I thank you, EA.
  • No crashing is definitely the best thing about this update. I can finally decorate my town how I want to without restrictions. I've never been happier with the game. :-)
  • I was so happy to see the snow gone, but now I've started to miss it a li'l
  • My experience has been different. I had occasional, but not out-of-control, crashing before the update, maybe once every two hours of play or so. The frequency is unchanged since the update.

Crashing happens most often when I'm moving or placing objects. Now I also occasionally get the "green screen of doom" when visiting neighbors. Never had issues with particular characters.

I play on an iPad 2 with a strong WiFi signal, have 100 neighbors, all characters & premiums, lots of decorations, lots (but not nearly all) land.

Aside from crashing, the game is less stable for me since the update: way more texture glitches (Pimento grove almost all the time), rampant moonwalking, occasional other glitches - brown houses turned into Kwik-E-Marts, quest count of -24/1 for Bart, about a quarter of my buildings disappeared once - but these all corrected themselves if I closed out and restarted the game.

Overall, I can't complain. People's experiences with the game seem so uneven, it's hard to come up with a convincing theory about what does or doesn't cause crashing and other problems.
  • I must say I am so pleased to visit some of the larger friends' towns with no fear of crashing. I can scroll around to my heart's content. The only time I seem to crash when visiting towns is if a character in my own town finishes a task. That seems to kick me out back to my own town to give the character a new job, which is not that bad a thing.
