January 2015: TSTO reaches all-time low on iOS Top-Grossing charts

Wow I didn't think it got this bad, but I seriously hope this changes and the developers get their game together. This year has been pretty bad as far as content, especially events go. The bugs only made things worse, and empty promises were disappointing as well. There are a lot of things EA can do to turn this game into a hit again, but they're gonna have to listen to their costumers a little more.

It's kinda sad and I hate to say "I told you so" but I said this would happen last year, and a had quite a few people burn me a new one. I guess in the end logic overcame emotional attachment to this game.

All I know is they're going to have to do something drastic to make people fall back in love with this game, especially since there's so much compitition out there.

It's ranked 17 on the top grossing apps in my list?

Google iOS top grossing--you should be able to find the US rank on a number of sites, though yes, the game's rank varies by country and device (iphone vs. ipad).

That said, the iOS top grossing chart is based on very recent sales and has a lot of variability. #50s-70s during a time when many can't get on is not the most accurate assessment of the game's true earnings, just as #7 on Christmas Eve during the height of the Gil sale is also a serious overestimate.

If you are really interested and want to get a better sense of what the developer is looking at, you can register for a free account at the website I mentioned (App Annie) and make a chart such as this one:

Google Play's charts give more of a rolling average, which is less prone to highs and lows. Things are definitely down on Android, but they are not quite as rock-bottom as they were this summer when the game had huge issues on Android devices that prompted a complete app update and an in-game apology, if I'm remembering things correctly.
