ICE_GRYLLZ - Is there such thing as too many flowers? Nonetheless FANTASTIC!
gobeerbuy - Very simple, but elegant.
DroppinDeuce - You were cruising for an A but then we found your dirty secret.
jbondra - Looking forward to seeing it finished.
Lissarv68 had some good questions so let's go there first:First off - who is this "we". First you say that "I" will be doing this and "I" will be doing that and then it switches to "we" and "panel of judges". So which is it, exactly?
This is so confusing I have trouble with the phrasing. The original 100 was just me. Then everybody in my household started to participate. We have Apple TV linked up to a projector and 'judge' the towns together. Last Friday we had I think 9 people looking at it (friends). I wish I had video-taped it. It was hilarious to see people arguing so passionately about the merits and demerits of a particular Springfield. Everyone I know LOVES the Simpsons.Second - somebody asked if this "team of judges" are included in the grades. The question was ignored. So who is this team? Where are their towns?
None of the towns are on the list. I don't think that would be fair. However, you can see an older version of my town on a post above. Since then it has been demolished and now I am working on something new. Obviously, mid-construction it would get a D or F.Third - do you know what a macro concept is? Explain it. I'm sure those eager to be judged would like to know what you think a macro concept is.
Does your town have an overall concept? A million things could qualify. You could build an island. You could separate Springfield into East Springfield and West Springfield (bonus points if it is accurate to the episode). You could have a residential district, an industrial district and a commercial district. You could have a water city. You could have a military lockdown city. Anything that wraps your town together into one understandable package. If you grew your town organically...you probably do not have this. This can make it very difficult to move from a B to an A because you might have to start from scratch.
There were a number of complaints above. I know this is not for everyone and I can only ensure you that we try to be as objective as possible. We allow resubmission if you want to try to improve your grade. If you really don't like the idea of judging Springfields I will quote some good advice by Melody on the other forum:...after reading a lot of comments I realise the most effective thing I can do is ignore it if I don't like it. And that I shall do
However, we do LOVE looking at really great Springfields and encourage you to keep submitting. Hopefully, EA will introduce this feature in the near future and than everyone gets to participate! Keep them coming and keep those creative juices flowing. - I'll respond to this quickly as I am still online...if your town is under construction you are most likely going to get a D or F. To get up to C you need a finished town.
There are exceptions to every rule, but in general the above holds true. - Hi Jarci -
I really wanted to dislike you because of this thread. I thought to myself "who does this person think they are?"
Then....you answer my questions so graciously! And the image of you and some friends arguing over towns? Well, you won me over.
Nicely done!
I still don't like the idea of grading BUT I do love that you have made this so much fun for your family and friends.
Macro concept - I was curious because I only know the term from computer programming and economics, it didn't at all apply to what you were using it here. So, I wanted to find out if perhaps you knew another definition that I did not? I'm still not sure you are using this term correctly, maybe somebody who knows city planning can give us the proper term to use when we are describing how the town is designed and planned?
I have no interest in having my town graded, however, I do understand the need for "districts". I designed my town on paper before creating it. I have very distinct regions. - Come on guys, don't let her fool you? Who is she? Another player, with all her family sitting around a projector, judging???
Are you all so eager that someone judges you town?
What is she? A land developer? An architect?
Your towns that you made, is all about how YOU like it! Not about what others think about it!
I REFUSE to do anything about my town, because a bunch of people who has nothing to do has decided to grade other people their town!
There , I finally said it !
@lissa, finally we have some thing were we don't agree about
I think no one should put grades here. No one should change their towns for it! - Well, after that response, maybe I'm not so against you lol.
But I still hate the grading. - C- for my town
Sorry I have to disagree  jarci1 wrote:

Thanks, no there is not sutch a thing as too many. Happy with the A grade.- My real objection is the term official.
Who made you judge jury and executioner ?
If you would change the name to unofficial and then ask for people to participate that would be a lot less objectionable - So we can understand more about the grading system can you go here and grade these Springfields. I suspect hat your system might be biased to sprawl from some of the discussion about clutter and dense developments. http://imgur.com/a/vPm5q#9. I didn't check these screen shots of 41 Springfields against the report card list yet to know if anyone is on it.

That's how I feel.
I think some ignored the majority of my post.
I never said I liked the grading of those who didn't ask to be graded.
I said that I wasn't as against her as I once was, she's being attacked pretty unilaterally and instead of responding in kind? She's being very gracious and taking the time to answer the questions. I like that and my opinion of her has risen.
I still don't want my town graded, don't want it....don't need it.
But some like the criticism and that's their choice. I'm not going to knock that either. To each their own.
