Well I think they should have said, he guys Krustyland is going to be gone. For every square of land you have, you will get a land token in SF. People would have got on it and bought land. To not tell anyone that this was the case until it’s too late is yes, not fair. I didn’t completely open up KL because I got all the items and didn’t need to bother. But if I had known we would get free land, of course I would have opened it up. I’m just saying if I had been given the choice to buy land I would have bought it, but I was NOT given the choice to know I needed to do this to get free land tokens.
My story is similar to yours except I managed to get the 100 tiles. I was desperate for more land also. I almost stored some of my painstakingly designed areas in order to free up some land. Luckily for me, I read this forum regularly and was tipped off about needing to acquire all of the KL land squares before nuking. I wouldn't have got anywhere near 100 otherwise.
I really feel for ya. I would feel the same way. They really should have warned people. I can picture them having a good laugh over it while knowing full well how desperate we are for land with the recent miserly distribution of land tokens.
Definitely not victim blaming those unfortunate enough to have been short-changed on land tokens as a result of the nuking process, but I wanted to emphasize something that @mystery2mi mentioned and that is the utility of following the forum posts on various aspects of the game. I would imagine that just about every regular member can point to one or more important tidbits about the game that we picked up here.
