Landing zone...nevermind

I added the final two land strips during the event to fit the monsarno campus.

I was waiting for event's end to see how it would skew my LZ, which was centered perfectly on towne square.

Its off a little bit, but not too bad. Whew!

EA, LET US SET OUR OWN LZ DURING NON EVENTS!

    That would be really awesome. I've been afraid to design anything special for my LZ because I know it's going to keep moving.

    Great idea, IMO.

    Let it center using their current method right now, but if someone has the Jebidiah Statue (since not everyone would since its a slight easter egg) it centers on that.
  • Only problem with using Jebediah is that it restricts the Landing Zone design-wise. If I have a building complex that I'd like to use as my landing-zone, sometimes sticking Jebediah in there is going to mean moving buildings so they don't align with roads, etc.

    I'd rather they just add a single, flat "invisible magnet tile" that we can place anywhere we want, and it could be one that could be covered by any object (as the concrete behaves now). It wouldn't restrict our design at all, we could move it by "lifting" whatever it's under and moving it the tile to our newly chosen spot.

    Good plan! They'd have to have perfect programming with it so there can't be a glitch where someone ends up checking 2 items and the town turns into a whirlwind.

    Graying out all others as soon as one is checked would be the obvious way, but if a glitch came along ...

    That is a pretty good idea, especially the part with greying out the other items that were not chosen. I guess it would also need to be limited to unique items and buildings only? In order to avoid possible confusion there.

    For that reason, I think that maybe just selecting a square area in your town could be much more simple. Like selecting the plots of land, but instead it would be the land we have already purchased. We could just move this area around like selecting the plots. Maybe the simplest way to implement this for programming and game play.
