It is not the case. Xp does NOT continue to accumulate after you reach the cap.

However, everyone who is at the cap will see some sort of xp boost when the new levels are released. But they are set amounts, and have no bearing whatsoever on the xp you would've been accumulating since maxing out on the current levels.

No no no... tap Homer, not his task manu. He'll keep saying "Ow" or whatever, and after 10 taps you will get the easter egg bonus of donuts and the statue.
