- Around whacking day, they fixed the level up glitch since the XP remained frozen and people were able to get loads of free donuts. Now they increase it per level to make it harder (and longer) to level up.
Then around Squidport or so, it broke again and froze the XP meter for all level ups.
Seems now they corrected it to increase per level again. - Correct. But that's not what I was referring to. It's not the level number but the xp level. The xp level to go up continues to rise every time you roll over.
- Ugh........ :-) Guess I won't be trying to level up anymore. Lol.

that's what he was referring to as well. The XP level technically should rise every time you roll over. I think you are on to something. I think during these events with the increase of playing, that let it take longer. Then they sneakily lock it after the event when players reduce their play time. I made the assumption it broke for Squidport, but it would have been corrected before Krustyland if it was "broke". I think they just use it during events since a lot more people are connecting at once and spend more time on the game.Spiffy577 wrote:

Don't worry, it maxes out at 10-million XP.
EA typically uses this method during limited-time promotions that have a large number of premium items.
I suspect they will revert to the fixed number for each level-up bonus after the Halloween promotion.- My next level is 10m. It should drop back down to 220-225k once level 36 is released.

The only reward given for filling the XP bar once you're at the highest current level is the Donut Prize Boxes. The Halloween event is going on right now, and we're getting the Donut Prize Boxes for every 2,000 goo after 10,000. There's going to be a ton of people getting a ton of donuts from this. I'm going to hit 10,000 this evening; anyone averaging 1,000 goo a day is going to get the Donut Prize box every other day. That's a possible 21 donuts in 2 week time... FAR better than simply leveling up.
It seems pretty clear that they took off the XP bar cap for that reason. Not to discourage people from "trying to level up."
