Doesn't this belong in the existing "We Need More Land" thread?
I was thinking that. But this is different. It's not your usual cry for more land, most of us just honestly don't have the room, so Let's leave it here for awhile and see it we can contain it to this one thread. If the land threads start getting out of hand we'll be moving to the sticky thread or locking. Or that's my thought right now. It is our first real crisis land thread. And I'm tired, haven't slept much in two days.
Its a real crisis NOW? Because it finally affects the people complaining in THIS thread? I cannot agree.
I DO agree with Isabellatrix, combine all threads about land shortage into the sticky. This conversation is not more important than any previous; it is redundant.
Lack of land is an obstacle of the game to be overcome. We all must deal with it as best we can.
I'd prefer the new threads from this update focus on the new content and game mechanics, not repeat the same old complaints, which is why the land sticky was created. Discussion can still occur in stickies! - I wouldn't waste the energy complaing about the placement of this post. 15 new buildings is beyond moving a few buildings around as a challenge. Just asking how other people serious players are going to cope.

It can be delt with at anytime and I somehow feel if this goes right into the sticky umpteen new ones will take its place.00-marco_rosas wrote:
I think that EA is taking cues from Family Guy and simply doesn't care about how much land we need anymore.Superheroes and now the Sideshow event are evidence EA is trying to desensitize us all from the idea that we need to have enough land for every building by adding an overt amount of content.
And, in all honesty, I agree with EA's new stance. Listening to those complaining about needing more land is holding back the game in terms of profit and the quality of content. Compare this to Family Guy where each event is celebrated due to all the new items where each TSTO event prior to Superheroes had almost nothing. The praise from more content far outweighs the complaints about land.
It simply doesn't make financial sense for EA to cater to the small niche of completionists complaining. Many will still buy everything even when there isn't enough land (as a matter of fact many will buy MORE because EA is adding more content) while EA can gouge money from those with lots more land and holding out to purchase only items they like.
Very good point. I call Family Guy the junk pile game. You can't create a town, you simply place "junk" everywhere. Simpsons started out very logical. You have building 1, 2 & 3. Now we are starting to see illogical structures. You have to make room for a giant alien queen or a Radioactive Man set piece. I'm a completest and I have to deal with ghost ships and ice castles. It's just time to re-think it. This post is constructive, as making use of the inventory can be a new element for me.- Man, I must be lucky or just bad at city design. I have a few premium and rare buildings and I have been playing since day one, I haven't touched the last land update. With this huge update I might have to unlock a plot or two. I plan on buying most of the buildings. I just love sideshow Bob. I just store the seasonal stuff and buildings I don't really find attractive. Like there is no point for me to have the christmas stuff out if I can't find a good use for it. I just put out when the season comes. Works for me. The family guy game was wayy worst off for land. I'm just making do with what I got for this game. Super excited for this event!!
- I do not own all of the premium buildings, but I do own several. And I own all of the buildings from every event, but do not have all of them out of storage and on display. Mainly I have the Christmas items in inventory. But I do have every strip of land and do not feel I could have everything on display without being crammed. I will have to look at the new buildings we receive, but will most likely store most of my CoC items I have out now. I would prefer we receive more land, of course. However, I also prefer steady game play, without crashing, over receiving more land and the servers not be able to handle the expansion. If we could receive an expansion, I would also like to have 2 new columns, rather than 2 new rows, as we always seem to receive. Just my opinion.
- i was really not ok w using the inventory for a loooooong time, but now that i do i love it, my town looks great and i dont mind storing buildings and even lame characters.
I dont care about the new buildings one bit so Ill not be bothered to buy any building or craft anything that will only end up in storage. Its like they provide meaningless buildings that cannot be placed in nice surroundings if you have all event areas out in your town.
Springfield no.2 was an interesting idea which circulated the forums lately but now becomes a necessity. :roll:dougiezero1982 wrote:

I agree with your comment regarding Family Guy game, which is exactly the reason I quit the game after the ComicCon event. I was a completionist if FG as well, and TinyCo had us spending premium currency on items that ended up in inventory. Seems EA has now firmly grasped that same approach with TSTO as well.
I get it from a financials perspective, but I don't like it. I'm a 100% completionist in my main SF, and my inventory is packed with most event and tie-in buildings from the past year, including all aspirationals. I've stripped most nice areas of my town over the past year, and am now down to using 1/2 of one strip as staging for all events, storing most event items after the event ends to free up space for the next event. It took me about three months to finally get fed up and quit FG, we'll see how long it takes with TSTO.
