I'm not new anymore, but I'm beginning to think I should have a higher multiplier than the 85.55% I currently have. Should the goal be that multiplier?I've been a slave to the characters so far. I buy them mostly when rebates accompany. I've bought a few decorations with the same rules. But should I be throwing every spare doughnut at multiplier items until I turn the corner and the multiplier, combined with farming, self-generate?I think this could generate good discussion for the really green players.

There isn't a standard for how much multiplier you should have. Some have a little some have a lot. So long as you're enjoying the game it doesn't matter.

I'm at 280% after a year of playing. It makes a big difference in terms of income and leveling up. If you want to boost - get the beach hideaways and upgrade to Level 5 - that's good for 100%. Then I did mystery boxes - a lot - until I got tired of Lard Lads. This gives you a ton of billboards and news vans that give you good multipliers for donut return. My rule now is to buy decorations that I like if they have decent multipliers OR decorations that have better than average multipliers (usually 1% for 15-30 donuts). Recent examples are the world flags.

I started a new freemium town on 12th January 2017. I am currently level 54, with a bonus of 73.25% and with the main 50 Springfield Heights buildings built for the hidden XP multiplier. It really is up to each player to decide how they want to play the game, but the main thing is to enjoy your journey! I bought Mystery boxes to start with until I had the 3 characters and unique items, then once I got to level 30 I started buying beach hideaways. I have 3 that are fully upgraded.

Dumb question. If Springfield Heights buildings don't show up on the conform-o-meter, how do we know they have a % bonus? And is it % bonus per building or just once? Do they need to be maxed out?I really don't like the SH buildings, s they're all in storage. But if i should pull one of each out for the bonus....

If I never came to the forum, I still would probably have a really low multiplier. My priority was always characters and still is when I don't have many donuts. As long as you enjoy the game that is what is important. I have no desire to have a bunch of things that don't fit into my town or that I have to hide. I don't keep out most of my SH buildings because I think they are ugly and get in the way.

I know that people say that MBs follow a pattern but I haven't seen the pattern in my town. I rarely ever get Lard Lad's.

As I recall its something like 3 groups of 20 prizes. I'm guessing you don't buy enough to see the pattern.

I have been buying them fairly regularly for a long time unless they all have to be bought at once to see a pattern.

I can confirm this. I validated it myself along with someone else on the forum who has bought way more MBs than I'll ever see. Three sets of patterns that repeat.

I played for about a year before I found this forum and was taught about %.
At that time I was about lvl 75 or so and had about 80+ % multiplier. Since then I have learned to pay attention to the %, and while I don't do any farming yet (buying KEM's o rush xp etc) I have gotten really good at when spending my donuts for premium items I do go after things that offer a % boost.
Now I'm at about 350% and it's making a huge difference because every job my characters do and every income I get from buildings is boosted by that % so I'm leveling faster and can buy more land to expand quicker.
So that's my suggestion, you don't have to get things just for the % (especially as so many just don't fit my design esthetic, but what I do spend on-I try to get the best multiplier % I can.
I'm enjoying the game and designing first and foremost, but the extra % sure does help.
And the hideaways, once you buy the first bit be sure to upgrade it to the top. I actually have one more I can get but they just gave us water expansion so I might get that one too soon.
