Not entirely. It seems like the assaulting does progressive chip damage to the battle areas. If you have no one fortifying; the damage I think gets more progressive than doing just chip damage.

No! What crafted items you place around the two are not affected by the attacks. The crafted items are only to increase the % of bonus. They afford no actual protection to the scape being attacked.
The only thing attacking/fortifying does is gain you sodas and scrap. There is no actual damage being done by the attackers. There is no added protection being provided by the fortifying.

I'm guessing yes, I stopped. I want to see if mine build up.

its not like they give a bonus for being fully built.....way more fun to build it to smash it and repeat.

The kids don't attack the playscape in act 2.

Do they need to be fully fortified? Skins post event perhaps? :/
