My town is very messy, so let me defend my people. I haven't redesigned my town for a long time because I think it's a pain, and I play more for functionality. Although my town is messy, I place all my event items together and make sure there are always roads near the landing point for neighbor visits. I usually work within Springfield Heights and then when an event is over, I move all the stuff out that doesn't need to be there. I always have the trash buildings, Maggie's mini game, and any other items I need to access frequently in SH.
While I understand the frustration with what my town may look like, I don't find joy in making a nice-looking town (though I appreciate all of yours). I have fun in tapping, getting donuts, and just enjoying the game. I always plan to do a redesign, but it's just so time-consuming. I do hope to do it one day, but not sure when.
