If someone gives us notice that they aren't play we aren't going to delete them, it's the ones that just stop playing without notice that we are quicker to remove. It's not harsh, it's just manners to let others know we aren't going to be around.

It's probably a mindset, those of us who feel the need to have the maximum number of visits per day thus earning the most money and XP vs. those who don't care about the most amount or just like to look at the towns...guess I'm not quite there money-wise but coming close to it now that I can build at will instead of out of necessity.
