Monorail Track

Building a monorail system in this game is time consuming, no doubt. However, for the most part, it doesn't cost you a lot of game cash OR donuts. Get into the rhythm of recycling and you will acquire plenty of track and donuts. Make sure your recycling buildings are all close together--that speeds up the process. On average, you can complete each week's cycle in about 3 days with no premium characters and then put all those workers onto other jobs. The biggest gripe about the monorail is the distribution of sections. Straight pieces are hard to come by and the ones you need the most. That's unfortunate but part of the game. I have two complete systems and the one in SH looks like a Disney ride because it's almost all curves and s's. Bottom line - keep plugging and you will get what you need eventually. Patience pays off.
  • "Too long" is a relative term. What makes you think you should be able to build it faster than it is? You just sound impatient. Monorails aren't built in a day, buddy. Keep on grinding!

And don't forget to submit your contest entries!
  • If I have characters available to recycle and time to do it why can't I acquire track? It's not a question on whether I think I should be able to or a matter of patience. It's being restricted from something I can do. By not updating the settings to allow people to build as much track as they want is virtual fascism.

First jedis are not killers you really need to understand the Jedi.

Second do you have the rail yard? if you don't have the railyard you are not going to produce tracks you need to do all the recycling then you go to the rail yard and you turn in the recycling and it gives you the tracks if you're talking about something else I have no clue what you're talking about
  • Of course I have the rail yard.

Also, Jedis have been at the center of every major battle in the star wars galaxy for aeons.
  • I am relaxed and I spend a lot of money on this game. I have been playing it for years which should prove my dedication to coming back. But my Springfield is huge and at the rate they allow you to accumulate track pieces should be edited.
  • or i am simply trying to identify an annoyance to which requires a simple fix. but yeah, i guess i am complaining too.

This game is a slow burn, not a everything done at once thing. The purpose of the game is to get you to spend money. This is better accomplished by making you keep coming back to play. If you can just complete everything you want at once, you're more likely to stop playing the game instead of paying money. That's why they limit you.

So relax, it's not a race.

I don't understand what you are saying here. How does limiting the amount of track you can earn per week make EA money? Surely it does the opposite, because if there was no limit on how much times you could recycle people could spend unlimited amounts of money making their perfect monorail. I don't think the op is saying they want to buy once and be done with it but rather earn the freemium way nonstop without weekly limits holding them back. I hope I explained myself clearly here
  • you did. I think the problem is clear. I just hope an EA game master will notice and correct the issue.

I 100% agree with you, I don't build the monorail myself but I do agree that limits are a problem and should be removed, as long as it doesn't remove the 5 donuts if I ever do try for them!
  • I get more kicks out of building and REbuilding the monorail than I do any other feature in this game. There's always a challenge to placing it where I already have other features laid out. Sometimes that's a task I enjoy taking on while other times it's just something to do while I'm waiting on other tasks to finish (like recycling). Could I use more track pieces? Sure. But then having easy access to them might make the whole monorail effort boring and pointless. What I would really like is more stations now that I have room for them. A chunnel would be nice too, so that SH and Springfield could connect.
