What they need to do is add more houses. I have 5 stars in everything else except that & I refuse to use any duplicate buildings. I only like having 1 of each.

Woah, so Xmas dropped this even farther? I still have like the 6 or maybe more of them out now. Time to store those suckers. Halloween allowed me to store like 2-3 of them (I think it hit 9 at one point) and now we can go back to 1? Heck Yeah! I am a completionist, there is only very few items I don't own (only some misc decor). Glad I can remove them, they take up so much space.

I do not think it's cool, this a classic building. for me only one for city.


There are others to duplicate what you are not iconic

What I really wish they would add is a decoration that contributed to consumerism, some sort of advertising or something. Nearly every other star category has some little decoration you can buy (and easily hide, if necessary) but not consumerism.
Or indolence, though I'm not sure what else could contribute to that. Cars?

Consumerism has always been an issue in this game haha at least they have made an effort to add more buildings that contribute to it in recent updates. In the last month I have dropped 6 KEMs to 1.

(I have half a dozen koffee karts, 17 training walls, and probably thirty stop signs in my town to keep all my ratings up. The training walls are visible but most of the koffee karts and stop signs are not. Consumerism is the only thing I don't have five stars in.)

House of Evil is another good one, and probably missing Howard's Flowers and the the Ice Cream Shop. The House of Evil was available during this last Halloween, and the next 2 are candidates to be attainable for Valentine's Day 2014 (they were releases last year).

Christmas gave us 5 buildings to go to consumerism. The Present depot, Costington's, the mall, Santa's Workshop, (the one that is a community prize) and Claus Co.

There are 13 stores in level play that go to consumerism. (6 from SP alone!) 3 premiums, and 10 limited times (including Christmas)

for level 37, you need 252 consumerism points. Which depending on rounding, is either 25 stores, or 26. So, if you're starting at Christmas, you'll have 18 of the 25 stores needed. Which means, if you want to max it out, you'll have to add some KEM's. My main town has 5 spread out and decorated. I think it works. Though, at this point I don't need them all.

So, in conclusion, I AGREE! Christmas was very generous to Consumerism. BUT I too would love a cash decoration you could easily hide to help this rating. Because you just know, Consumerism requirement is going to go up when the mysterious level 38 finally releases!

EDIT: Mr Sparkle Billboard does add 10 points to consumerism.

This is completely different topics...

House farmers are tapping the houses collecting extra cash. The extra Kwik-E-Marts are just there for a rating, not to collect extra cash. 99.9% of the time house farms are stacked with no space between the houses. The 5 Kwik-E-Marts are (normally) spread out as much as possible, usually with different designs. The other option was hiding them behind larger buildings, so in essence they are completely different.
