My town was just reset to level 1... fixed

no if i open the town, it's back to level 1. with my nick.
it's not a new town.

they're restoring it to a new account (LPNintendoITA2). let's hope all friends transfer over..

This happened to me the first year it was released. I lost everything from the early events and had no idea about EA support. I'm still bitter about it to this day!

they can check your log and see they're created through farming and not cheating. if they're generated from level up and such they 're not counted as cheating. don't worry. same if you buy lots of them legally.
they do check the log before making any assumption. don't worry

Yes, this has happened to me. If they see a lot of donuts in your account, and no purchases with real world currency, they will accuse you of using 3rd party mods, and refuse to help you. You are guilty until proven innocent, good luck proving a negative. EA's logic is so flawed that they don't realize that someone that is using 3rd party mods would not need to call for support, they can just give themselves whatever they want to begin with.
