Mystery Box Value - Best Cost Efficiency

I created this thread for future use. When questions arise such as "what is the best way to build my multiplier".

I did a run of 800 donuts excluding donuts gained from the mystery box. Here are my results. 105% with 37 Vans and 31 Billboards. Some will refute and say Jet Engine Bikes are the best from the vault. However you will be spending 1000 donuts for 50 items of 100%. And I spent 798 donuts (excluding donuts gained in MB') for 68 items and 105%.
This is why I believe Mystery Boxes are the best donut value if you are strictly trying to build your multiplier. Now my results are not a everytime occurance. I made a very good outcome. Below is the chart of the possible Mystery Box outcome.

I hope this helps you in your purchase decisions. It is intended to show the BEST value within the game for boosting your multiplier.
  • I didn't look at the chart before doing the test. But I knew it was out there and found it afterward. I'm not sure if it does that letter pattern but the varient of items is pretty accurate.
  • My mystery boxes always followed one of the patterns on the chart.
  • Thanks @daved7637397
I wanted to create and star a thread that I thought would be beneficial for newer players.

Well I think you succeeded! I knew they followed a pattern, I never thought it was so complicated though, but I never paid much attention either...
  • Hi @frosted1414 . I looked at that chart also. I know what you mean about all the other stuff! I have since had 3 more boxes which was a shelter, 10 doughnuts and another shelter!!!!! Still no billboards and vans and still following no sequence. That's 8 boxes of nonsense in a row :( By the trees I meant the few that add XP bonus. At the mo there is a tentacle one for 18 doughnuts but I think the apple tree is 20. At least if you save for a tree you are guaranteed XP.
  • That's why I don't go for MB's and my bonus isn't as high as it could be and I save the donuts for something that I want.
It does feel like I'm playing the game wrong at times though when I read posts about high bonus percentages.
  • @loopyloo84 buy the trees because you want them not for bonus.

Took me a long time to bother with MBs and I wish I’d done it sooner. Now my problem is not having enough content to spend donuts on.

I got my high bonus percentages from Mystery Boxes. I spent all my donuts on them!
  • @EllieGuseman
has got a good point there, as I have Orange Tree, Bonsai, Boardwalk Fountains, Green Bins, Torch, Beach Hideaway, Tree Swing and a Bloodmobile because they were all wanted for aesthetics as well.
