Is the throw pillows task crucial to a Christmas questline? If not, does it pay more gift cards than the Snowmobile task? If the answer to both of those questions is "no", I'll hold off on it until after New Year's.
It is part of the main Christmas quest line and therefore you can't progress in the Christmas quests without doing it.
