A couple days ago this pedestrian overpass was dedicated in Portland OR. One of the officials at the dedication was the mayor of Springfield, OR.
Matt Groening grew up in Portland. At one time I had lived between Kearney and Lovejoy streets. This was a few blocks up from Flanders street, in an area that is sometimes referred to the alphabet blocks.
