I know what you're talking about. Some characters do the same thing here; I even had a decoration float away.

These incidents all happened around my Springfield Dump.

Never noticed any other oddities there. I'm keeping an eye on that place.

Edit: I placed some balloons by the dump to see if they would float away. All the characters
Walked past them except for Ned. He floated the other way around the dump to avoid them.
In his defense they were the spooky balloons.

Mine's normal...unfortunately. That would be so cool. :D

I had this with Quimby, he'd float around instead of walking when he was busy recycling.

Yes. I have seen some of the weirdness you describe, John.

I have also noticed that some characters float backwards sometimes when assigning or finishing tasks - they don't move their legs or turn around. It sort of looks like they are being pulled toward something. I haven't seen that particular thing happen near the dump yet, tho. It just randomly happens anywhere in the town.

Yep, I can attest to Ned's possession. He floats diagonally sometimes. So does Akira, and the Happy Sumo is on the other side of my SF from my dump.

Maybe it's the fugu both in the restaurant and the dump that's causing this eerie behavior.

Yes, I have seen Neds possession around the dump.......... But pics or it didn't happen - and I don't have 'em
