they even went backwards as they called this patch2, (they skipped the number last time), the prev. was 3 ok ea. let's see

Nah, it's still broken for some neighbors, they have the airport and have even visited me (with the badge, not a handshake), so there's no way they should still be at zero.- both of my towns had not shown pin counts for any neighbors towns the entire event, even reinstalled game the second day of event.
just reinstalled again because of a continuing collecting noise issue and many neighbors pin counts have appeared-but not all neighbors though and they are very active neighbors so they should have pins

Edit: I mean todays patch, not the entire event update. Not all have downloaded the patch yet. Their actual count will most likely show, once they do.- It's definitely to do with neighbours not updating the latest patch.
I have three friends that don't have any numbers for the first act and all three have not visited their towns for more than 24 hours. - The patch appears to have fixed the glitch blocking completion of Part 2 of the Full Nelson task.

Thanks, I'll try that. Very frustrating as it is logging me out each time, plus taking roughly 20 mins to download as Internet is bad here in Malaysia. I suppose I could use it as a timer for the plane tickets!
