Hi Pam. And welcome to the game and forum.
There is a limit of 100 friends. And this causes issues sometimes. When you want to add someone who reached his/her cap, you will get an error message. Something like "Oops, something went wrong". So if you can add some, but others give a problem, the 100 friend cap is most likely the cause.
