That prediction of early next week was what people said the latest a major event would be after Pride.
It's been theorized that the timing of an event last week after pride wouldn't line up with the annual Halloween event. EA needed to clear the schedule, which is what the superheroes return yard sale did. Some kind of event is coming by next week whether it's a mini event a full scale event.
My vote is on full scale music/hullabalooza event. I googled the cannon from the hullabalooza episode and that's it, down to the red carpet and trampoline type thing to catch the person being shot with the cannon.
That combined with the teaser from the TTT takedown and EAs way of releasing these types of items to tie into an upcoming major event would be a little too much to call coincidence. The only thing funny about it is the ability to store the cannon.
