I reckon EA pulled the plug on that and any content that was in the game files for a long time. They
want new content to be a surprise these days and dont stick it in the game files until it is released.

Has to be the monorail.
The fact it hasn't made it into the game already really surprises me.

I reckon the monorail will make an appearance at some point, but I hope it isn't a one-off expensive item. I'd rather be able to buy pieces of track, place stations, and design my own little route for it around the town.

I assumed they would release as one HUGE stand alone looking thing, but your idea WOULD BE AWESOME, and allow for soo much more individualization

Yup. It'd also be much easier for those of us with full maps to accommodate, rather than having to re-arrange to fit in one big thing. That's why the only aspirational I have at the moment is the Cubic Zirconia. Everything else is too big for me to justify giving over the space.
