The way I see it, they're going to want to have something for everyone (it would be lame if there was nothing new for anyone who was playing last year) so they will do something new for those who were playing last year and most likely offer last years stuff as well for those who missed out.
Agree. IMO it would make much better business sense for EA to please the middle group of players ... Those who have finished the questlines. Now those players are at the "Okay. That was fun. What next?". What is left for them are dozens of premium buildings to fill out their Springfields. If i were EA, THOSE are the ones I would want to keep happiest.
By contrast, the old-timers fall into two groups: those who are happy to already have purchased all or most of the premiums, and those who are staunch and proud " freemium" players. Neither group is going to be a source of the large amount of money still to be had from the up-and-coming group.
The Nighthawk Diner being held back is an irritation to that up-and-coming middle group. I fully expect EA to do something that is a pleasant surprise for THEM, and risk losing people from whom profits are going to dribble in one building at a time, as they are released every month or so, (Or in the case of longtime freemium players, not at all.)
Face it -- they can't please everyone. Go to where the maximum FUTURE money is.
It's priced very low ($16,000?) so it's possible they are going right for that group of people and following their lead with Tom O'Flanagan and the pub and make it a short quest involving much of the town all at once...the ones who have Banner and the diner already don't need to do the quest.annettemarc wrote:

That middle group would include me! Lots of donuts to spend from all the free ones in the SC event, plus the ones gifted to me from my wife. :)- You all know that most of all american apus tasks have been broken for a while now so that would be an unfair premium as of right now.

Mine works fine.
I remember your thread about the issue. I guess you didn't see my response that you may have inventoried or sold the original KEM, and to find it you should store Apu. Every KEM will go into storage with him, and the one he appears next to is your original.neuroheart wrote:

I'm not having any problems with him either.neuroheart wrote:

I must have missed your reply. I was fairly certain my original KEM was out but I do have others in storage. I will store Apu. Thanks for the heads up. Of course he's on a number one 6 hour task right now so will try tomorrow. I just assumed he was broken because there were no problems with apu apu and first noticed it when we had the storage problems.- Ok so I ended number ones task, stored apu brought him back out and all american apu is still broken. Now what.

Well crap. You didn't sell any KEMs, did you? If you sold the original, I'm not sure what can be done :?- I have one out and 9 in storage so I'm pretty sure I never sold the original but with all of them in storage they lump together as a group. The original when in storage always was separate.
- I always used all american apu brefore stone cutters so I'm going with no I didn't sell it because he worked pre stone cutter. Unless I sold it by accident while tapping quickly during stone cutters.
