No Easter Event.

EA thought it best to not release new content ?
it’s bad when we haven’t had an actual update in 4-5 MONTHS and we can’t get enough server functionality for TSTO players to do nothing?

There's likely some major things going on at EA. I've read there were some layoffs. There could be massive reorg that's postponing product releases. Or there could be network issues that need to be addressed, which might explain why we're getting the Bart Screen so much lately.

It's obvious there's things going on there, but they don't communicate to their users very well. So we won't know unless someone leaks info. You might find info on reddit where there's more gossip. Otherwise, just keep calm and tap on

I've always tried to be upbeat and positive about the game and its future but alas it would seem the writing is on the wall now. All eyes are on the next event and if isn't an all singing and dancing wowzer of an event then we have to accept that EA are cocooning the game into a no mans land where the game will exist on the servers but no new content will come and maintenance of crashes/glitches will be well down EA's priorities.

Probably most of us will slowly just fade away from playing. I used to religiously check in an absolute minimum of 4 times a day to work my KEM farm so now with my multiplier at a healthy level and the lack of other things to do I'm slipping back to just a couple of checkins a day and 'm quite relaxed about it.

What will be will be....

I feel like this entire post is trying to list the opposite of everything i feel.

I'm ok with no event at the moment, because Ive been as busy as if there was an event. I just had a three week SH grind fest with no talking, no random wheels, no crafting other than straight up churning out trophies to get tennis courts. I just increased my bonus faster in three weeks than in 5 years. What a rush.

Big gaps between events are how it began back in the day. It's not that big a deal when something on sale goes back to regular price at my grocery store either.

Using the Yearbook I'm getting boatloads of new content. The only people not benefiting from the yearbook are whales who have everything already. That's a miniscule group. Even completists have been able to grab some things they didn't think were coming back soon. 700 items on sale, and then -- what??? 2.25% bonus multiplier madness!! What event has ever offered so much! What a party, for most players. If you were excluded from the fun of buying 300 donut whales for only 30, so sorry it's not your party this time, but you can still wear a hat!

Constant crashing sucks, undeniably. But this ain't new either. It happens. The game is cloud tech. Last time there was long term bugginess with connectivity, they were migrating our KL databases to the main database. So maybe they are retooling. Maybe they have to wait for a scheduled outage to make a major hardware upgrade. It's a complex system that provides this form of entertainment. It's not paper play money in a cardboard box.

With 5000+ posts, i don't know if I'm a loyal old hand, or maybe a foot; some people here probably call me another old appendage, but I've been pretty positive about expressing my enthusiasm for the recent things available in the game. Wide angle screen capture, golden goose real estate token generator, the yearbook, the tennis court fire sale, have completely rejuvenated my desire to play the game and contribute positively to the forum. I even offered to host another contest, but the people here have gotten pretty flaky and not very community spirited. There's negativity here for sure, but it's mostly bored cynicism which needs to take a chill pill.

There's plenty to do in the game, I'm earning all kinds of things i want, my bonus is killer now, and I'm acquiring land at a consistent rate that's dependent on me, not just event handouts.

Would you be happier with an assurance that it will continue for another 15 years? I'll be happy to tell you that. There's new players reaching the age to play every year. They have cash (for now). As long as the brand is current and trending, the game will earn revenue. Unless digital telecom age comes to an abrupt halt, game will be fine. Whether or not YOU find it entertaining, is another matter we are not as concerned with.

We don't know what the next event is going to be, please be patient.

With the twitchy and often crashing servers, it's best we have some downtime to get them fixed before a big event takes place.

If a big event drops and the servers are still crashing, it's not going to be pretty.

There will be no Easter this year. But there's been a delay as they decide whether to do a Wester, Norther, or Souther.

Starting a new thread to ask about it daily, should make them decide faster.
