No Summer Event?

I thought I was evented out too, until I recently started playing another game that's having an event (Farmville 2: Country Escape for Kindle Fire) and I've been neglecting my TSTO a bit the past few days. Their event is nowhere near as good as TSTO's events, but it has distracted me from playing because I've only checked my TSTO game a couple times a day this week. I wouldn't mind a new event starting next week or the week after. I would totally be happy with the Chili Cook Off if it appeared out of nowhere. The great thing about the last event was you didn't have tap obsessively, like with Easter, in order to get all of the prizes. If it's not too stressful, I would definitely welcome it. I understand why some people are tired of them though. The first half of the year has been pretty event heavy.
