Are we going to like it? :)
To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, if you're the kind of person that likes this kind of event, then this is the kind of event that you will like. - lucienleon519Rising Rookie

A few years ago the game was much better. I got Xmas lights for example and you could interact with alliens, elves walking around or many other things. Now you have to send to collect things or to do something, but no interaction... It’s quite boring. Where’s the snow this year????
The game seems locked into the current format, so I've found other ways to enjoy it. The snow will come soon enough :) - ^^ where to start . . .
Boosting your bonus
Maxing out IGC
Trying to spend maxed out IGC, that's not easy
Designing and tweaking
Making 2D or 3D art
Truck farming instead of waiting on KEMs
Setting everyone on your favourite animated task
Looking for stuff worthy of a screenshot
Spending time checking out all your friends towns
Playing any or all of the previous mini-games
Nuking and rebuilding from scratch
That's just a few to get you going - lucienleon519Rising Rookie

Other ways? Now it’s poorer, less dynamic. Which ways?
What @1-Graham-S said.
Plus this has always been a designing game for me, with events being the vehicles through which new content is delivered/acquired. So long as new content is offered I'm not overly fussed about the event dynamics being less imaginative than they used to be.
Every new item is an opportunity to reimagine a part of the town. "lucienleon519;c-2172782" wrote:

Agreed, a huge part of the game is based around designing Springfield in your own vision or trying to copy the actual layout of the town in the show (although certain buildings seem to move to suit) I'm trying to plan a major redesign of my Springfield to include the new items we got in recent events although it'll not happen until the snow (which I'm sure will arrive soon) has gone as I find it impossible to design properly with dead trees and everything white.- 11EEveyHero+@gerardxgerard The game is 8 years old and doesn't make as much money anymore. The base staff to work on it has obviously been reduced. We're lucky we even have a game to play at this point.
