This is a problem when I am involved in a distracting task that more time than I realized has passed. I had hoped that since I reported this issue quite some time ago now that by now this would no longer be an issue. However because the problem is driving me more and more crazy I have to post about it and hope someone has something I can do to work around the issue until EA finally decides to make their app work correctly with 6.0. Thanks.
Go to Settings -> Applications -> Tapped Out -> Notifications (or however it's set up in your device and check your settings. I seem to remember a setting somewhere to not have notifications when the device is sleeping, but can't find it right now ('cause they keep MOVING everything around...).
