I did the same thing as the OP did. I filled 90% of the land with white houses just for something else to do. It was so large I could only have half of it ready or it would crash my game. I took it down at this years Xmas update so my friends could visit.- I figure a house farm at least gives me a reason to log in more
also, they run across the very bottom strip of Springfield, so does not effect my town at all - Thread of the Year

- i gotta say....having a house farm has proved to be very lucrative for this event
so much so that i bought more and now have 156 blue houses in my farm...i woke up today and nearly each one was tapped by a neighbour ;) - I was building a blue house farm before the event started but then quit because I'm saving my money for the end-game. I'm not in the HighRollers yet, only about 3 million.
