One way tunnel?

This is true. Wait 4 more weeks and you'll get the second tunnel to connect the other loop.
  • You'll be getting another tunnel in week 5 as a prize so then you can create a complete loop.
  • Monorails don't require a "loop". They simply reverse course. We have had a monorail in Seattle since 1962 and it has never had a "loop". It is a straight shot from Seattle Center to Westlake Mall (well some bends) and never turns around to head back.

I have ridden your glorious monorail from the mall to the Space Needle and back. You speak the truth about the lack of loops. Seriously, Seattle was a great place to visit. Looking forward to getting back there hopefully soon. 8)

I grew up outside Memphis and they have one that runs from downtown out to Mud Island and back. Same setup. No loops. Been on it lots of times.
  • Monorails that don't loop can crash your neighbors game when they visit your Springfield. Something to do with the game cache.

This is the first I've heard of this. More info?

News to me.. I guess I missed it being mentioned here. Until I see confirmation of this I will still go for the authentic experience of a non-looping monorail. The only thing I could find when I put the words "loop" and "monorail" together in a Google search was the Disney ones. I did manage to pull up a list of monorails and looked at them. Except for theme park based systems, they tend to be straight line systems. Kind of like subways and other "train"-type forms of transportation. So do what you find aesthetically pleasing but don't feel compelled to make a loop.
  • I have had two straight run monorail lines in my town for months. None of my neighbours have had any issues.
  • I'm not even bothering with this whole Monorail thing. lol.....So no stress for me.
  • The Springfield monorail on the show was a closed loop. There were only seconds between screams and it was shown going one way.
