I heard if you have to many invites or friends pending can cause your game to slow down. Have a quick look at ur invites and pending in game. If not download origin for the computer

@drprimo: Yes, I have quite a heavily decorated town. I have purchased all land and water squares and ~75% are used for buildings, streets and loads of decoration stuff.From what I can tell the amount of exchanged data during login is not enormous. In 20secs you can almost download a whole youtube movie...Caching the town buildings etc. on the device should IMHO easily be doable, as they do not change anymore once they are finished building. But that's up to the game engineers.And yes, I know about the issue when connection type is switched. I can tell it from looking at the Donut: when it is spinning continuously then login will take forever => force quit. Don't get me wrong, I hear what your saying, but it also is majorly affected by your device. My old iPod (4g 32gb) took at least a minute to load, my new one (iPod 5 64gb) takes no longer than 5 seconds! Just goes to show! Not sure if the amount if free space on your device will affect it as well, could do

Totally agree, the pending friend requests can cause major issues for sure, this was meant to be sorted a while back but people still say even now that deleting loads of requests has helped their game :)

When your game isnt running right it is always worth a shot :)

Skyrim wasn't on about added friends he means ones that are still pending, ones that you either need to accept of the ones you have sent that haven't been accepted.

Basically ones that are stuck, plus going onto the Origin Download website will also show ones you didnt even know was there

Personally, it takes me longer to log into this forum compared with the game. On average, it takes me 2 minutes to go from log in screen back to the forum. TSTO takes less than 45 seconds to get in my game. I always assumed the game is booting up when we open it, no different to a pc. Some pc games can take a while to boot up, especially if you have extra content.

My suspicion is it's more to do with content compared to a large friend request list. I say this because I currently have 54 friend requests that I have ignored and have no issues. Saying that, I plan on deleting them after reading what was said here. Just in case.

45 seconds are a very long startup time for a mobile app. Did that really never bother you? Your comparison with booting a PC points out exactly the design flaw: Booting a whole operating system is obviously a much bigger task than loading such a game. Would you accept it if any other app needed as long to start, let's say Google maps (for comparison with the Springfield map)?

Reading that pending friend requests slow down the login process in such a significant way sounds ridiculous to me. Is there anything to be done with pending(!) friends outside the manage friends screen in the Origin section?

TSTO has so much potential for optimizations. And that's exactly what I'm asking for.
