I agree with Level 7. I dont see how you can earn the DNA/Masks back by the little payout increase. Saying this, my Monsarno is level 15 and herbicide 13 (I may go to herbicide 15 though - maybe :!: ).
The problem with the upgrades is that it mostly just unlocks groups of characters, not new characters. Payout increase is negletible (even if it sound good in %, it is still just 1 or 2 more of each). So you would find several different tasks for one character, but still none for Marge or Luigi, blue haired lawyer, Mindy just to name a few...Vs1976 wrote:

Yep, I choose in the beginning for masks, if I have enough or almost have enough I keep grinding DNA, but with 8000 in bank I got enough DNA for the moment. So first I want all characters work for masks, I upgrade the theater to 7 or 9 then craft the boat and then if needed spread to get more DNA.

For me Level 9 is best, I have a lot of criminals and saints, some of which aren't doing anything at the moment, I need them for my crafting currency.
It all depends on what you have, though I would be tempted to say go for at least 8, don't we get some more seats then? Or is it earlier.sdarrall313 wrote:

Nope. Seats and ticket booth are done with Level 7- so 7 or 9 what is it

this is tricky and depends on what characters you have and how frequently you play.
level 8 jobs are 2 hour tasks and frankly I've hit the wall with logging in 8-9 times a day to reset that frequently) (lvl 9 is 1 hour jobs but Rod and Todd who are saints are also youngsters with a 6 hour job (in order to beat Rod and Todd you have to reset the1 hour task 4 times in 6 hours) (I'm not going to log in every hour so for me the decision is 7 or 8.
Level 8 characters added (please verify in your games if these characters have future mask jobs you can see them as greyed out at the bottom of the task list, I just took character lists off a wiki)
Fat Tony (but he has a level 6 (4 hour) entrpreneur job (so basically his added job is not that useful to me (it moves from 16 masks in 4 hours if you use the 2 hour job twice versus 13 masks in 4 hours
Quimby (has a 12 hour DNA job, idk DNA is also rare, this is a character I'd probably keep on DNA)
SideShowBob (is needed from time to time in the questline and he also has Kooks and Celeb jobs for masks (and a 3 hour 6 hour DNA, basically he's already overtasked
Dr Robert (only had a corn job before)
Francesca (only had a corn job before)
Legs (only had a corn job before)
Louis(only had a corn job before)
Snake (only had a corn job before)
So basically 5-6 added characters with 2 hour jobs. (I guess you could call this 6 added characters if you are willing to reset Fat Tony regularly and own Francesca)
It costs 1575 Masks to lvl from 7 to 8
the 2 hour job pays 8 masks /2 hour job
you need to see how frequently you are willing to reset the job and how much time is left to see if you'd recoup the cost (for me, I'm sticking at lvl 7 (except for one town where I have Francesca and fewer other celeb earners, I'm still thinking about that game upgrading to level 8 ))
level 9 seems like it's too grindy for me and I don't think you can recoup
eta: and frankly the town that owns Francesca is the slowest to earn masks because fewer celebs so I'd probably stay at 7 unless someone has more convincing math (or EA increases the spawn rate againphilippama998 wrote:

thanks. Just got to level 5 and received the ticket booth, on my way to level 7 for the 2nd seats.- I'll be stopping at lvl 7. I can't see recouping the cost further upgrades before the event ends.
- It also depends on when the event ends (when is crafting over, when do mutant bobs stop appearing, when does the ability to send ppl on crafting tasks end?, fwiw LPN says cecil tasks last until June 4th but the music note prizes go away in 11-12 days,why is this event so complex?
(I did some best case scenario calculations and my town with 4 kooks, 5celebs,16 kids earns 1374 masks per day and 500 more per day once 10 entrepreneurs are added (I'm treating Apu like an entrepreneur even though hes currently just a kooks) (the lvl 6 upgrade is definitely worth it, I want the opera seats so lvl 7 is an easy yes.
I think lvl 8 is recoupable in 6 days if you are logging in 7-8 times a day I just don't think that's sustainable for me.
Level 9 is premium heavy (ie Father Sean, Maude) & Rod and Todd have a 6 hour maak job (& would encourage even more frequent tapping which I dislike)

Oh dear...this is going to be complex and mind-boggling. Lots to think about and plan for...
I have all the characters (including premium) and want to get to level 7.
Beyond that, I don't know if I should upgrade past that. I do have the characters for level 9, but if they have only 2 hour tasks or 1 hour tasks - I cant login hourly. Maybe ill see how much time is left once I get to level 7.
I want both the cactus patch and the houseboat. That's all the remaining prizes I want except for the personal prizes which im going to get anyways through music notes (which of course are completely separate from opera masks etc)
