OK so I'm thinking...perhaps we don't do anything to spread it. Like hit a button or something. Maybe it's spread by the frequency of neighbor visits. Like the more neighbors you visit/visit you, the faster the numbers of infected rise. Random...everyone is not guaranteed to give the infection, but the higher the number of neighbor visits, the better your chances.
Did I state that clearly? If so, what does everyone else think?
Here's my guess - the higher your severity, the more contagious you are and the more people you can infect. So, you can probably still spread it at a lower severity, but you will not infect as many of your neighbours.
Also, once you have gotten the flu - I think the severity might increase with the amount of tourists you clear in your town (not sure if tapping buildings in neighbours towns increases it - haven't gotten to today's neighbours visits).
Not sure if I have gotten that right. But I think it sounds somewhat logical. :)
Yes, tapping buildings does affect it. I think all the buildings I tapped on my last go round gave me the flu.
So, then, if this is a community prize thing, I am assuming that our goal is to reach 100%. If that's the case, will having inactive neighbors affect this? Would it be advisable to jettison people who are not playing in, say, the next week? I know some people wait for the push of the update to start, so I want to give them time to get on board.
