How about not deleting whole threads when one poster violates the ToS?
Forum Discussion
- I have a hard time believing you have so many friends here, that you can't simply send the ones you want to stay in touch with a pm. No need for everyone else to see a user go away... Have never felt the need on any other forums. The people in a forum is what make a forum good and bad, and this is a good forum, no doubt about it. Meaning I have generally good impression of the people frequenting this place. But the other part that makes a forum good or bad, is the level of information you get from it.
Face it, you wouldn't visit a forum in the first place, unless for getting either information, or discuss matters you have opinions about. Of course that means you can hit it off with someone, or find someone you dislike. Either way, a lot of off-topic threads (in places they really don't belong) make a forum messy. Goodbye-threads is certainly nothing interesting to discuss at said forum. You do of course have the right to disagree :)
Personally I have never really been that interested in the people not present in a current debate, what interests me is the ones I am debating with at any given time... - It wasn't a goodbye. If I was leaving I would have posted a bunch of super sweet animated gifs.
