My bad yes nas defiantly gets a mention, but IMO I just don't dig anyone new,to me the flo ain't right lyrics are ok,probably the latest and he isn't really new is Lloyd banks he is pretty good, but for me it's stricktly west coast gangsta rap. I am stuck in the 90's as IMO that was hip hop,now to me, don't sound the same miss the g-funk. His song changes IMO is like mj's song "heal the world" or Louie armstrongs "what a wonderful world" it's that strong for equality and change,to me that's one of the greatest songs of all time,regardless of what genre you listen too,just like I said earlier didn't get the recognition he deserved for it. Today it all about money woman and dope, yeah PAC did rap about that stuff too,but not every frekin song. Songs like changes,dear momma,keep ya head up,life goes on,I ain't mad at cha are songs that elevate him into a status that IMO never a single hip hop artest could get no where near. And to top it of you could really say his career was only about 5yrs when you think about it, in the way his fame went, and the short time he was a professional recording artest.emmcee1 wrote:

There are a ton of good artists out there, you really just gotta know the scene and know where to look. The music industry has changed a lot since the 90's with digital music and more and more artists are coming up through smaller, independent labels. It's not like you have to get play on MTV to be recognized as an artist anymore.
I listen to a bunch of different stuff. There is so much Hip Hop out there it's overwhelming. I like the classics, but I grew up on Tupac, Biggie, Nas etc. and played a lot of that out before I was 13. I'll still bump it from time to time but I can only listen to the same songs so many times.
Lately I've been into Kendrick Lamar, A$ap Rocky, Odd Future, Curren$y, and Drake most recently.- 'Picture me rollin'

Just to name a few. - Nas is a living legend, have all of his albums. I liked notorious B.I.G. too. Rap will never be the same.
- I feel like I'm in the 90's again. Amazing thing is he's made 6 albums since his death. Astonishing.
- They rekin there is heaps to come too,but his mother is holding it up with legal issues and such,since he has died she has become extremely difficult with releasing his stuff, I'd say the next biggest new album of his will be when his biopic film is released supposedly later this year. Once again his mother is holding up proceedings, I understand his mother wants stuff to keep for her own,but PAC would be seriously peed of if he knew how his mother was handling his estate. Too me "me against the world","all eyez on me",makaveli,betterdayz,are you still down,are all tied for first imo of his best albums,so yeah kinda hard to pick an actual favourite song as there all bloody good.
