OT: If you had $1,000...
An iPad. My girlfriend hates that I am so addicted to this game and I kept hearing how good it is to play on an iPad, so I took the liberty of installing it on hers and played for an hour or so. It was heaven.

I still refuse to buy a tablet. Especially now with phones coming out with such big screens. The bridge between them and a Netbook seems pointless to me. As much as the big screen while playing Tapped out looks nice, I'm kind of bothered that it has the same exact zoom out as the phone. It's bigger, but you can't really get much done any quicker. It might actually be slower since you are sliding across a larger surface.
/tablet rant
Anyway, two things catching my eye lately have been cameras with long-exposure ability and 3D printers. Only problem with the printer is that the materials are pricey.

If I had a $1000 I would spend it on a week in Bali. Don't get me wrong I'm def a gadget girl but it's winter and I'm cold and thought of lying in the sun next to a pool in Bali is just too tempting.
You could live like a king for $1,000 too!

I love my tablet, I have a Sony tablet S. I can't imagine playing games on a small phone screen. LOL. I don't have a a smartphone, its a pay as you go, so my tablet allows me to play all the games, use it as an ereader etc. without having to pay for a plan.
On topic, I'd probably buy myself a smartphone. LOL. I really like the Blackberry Z10.

i agree. ive come pretty close to buying a tablet, mostely driven by TSTO. lol. but i just cant justify it. anything i can do on one, i can do on my phone or laptop.
anyway, id invest a really nice laptop and run tsto on bluestacks. this hp netbook has had it :?
if i had a little left over id buy the gadgets needed to stream video wirelessly to my 46" samsung.

Edit: forgot to mention, if you own a pc/Mac, and have never playe on a tablet, download Bluestacks. It allows you to play tapped out on your laptop/desktop, and looks even better than a tablet. I highly recommend it, only down side is no finger tapping obviously, takes a little getting used to with a mouse.
I have a Macbook, have had it for about 5 years and the trackpad is starting to give in. Plus the Mac itself is incredibly slow now. Have the latest version of Mountain Lion and have reformatted it recently, which didn't help at all.
Maybe time to invest in a new one. But TBH I don't really use it that often (I use my iPhone 5 for EVERYTHING), and I just don't have the cash to drop on it. Donuts, on the other hand...
Talk about your The Simpsons: Tapped Out experience with other TSTO players.
