We've been in the 80s, here in central FL, for the past 10 days, so the cold front that arrived today was most welcome. Our high tomorrow is plunging to a frigid 68, and it'll be in the chilly 70s for several days after that.
I almost always keep the news on for background noise when at home, and my head popped up when I overheard this today: "Snow... in Florida? Stay tuned to hear this after the break."
I closed my iPad and turned up the volume to the t.v. After several crappy fluff segments and two more commercial breaks, the piece I had been waiting for finally came on.
"Snow, in Florida," queried the newsman, "Not today, but it has happened twice before in the past, the last time in 1969. In other news..."
Yeah, I hate this state.
