Agreed to some extent. I have a stupid task to upgrade a private resort island to level two. But all three are level three and in my inventory and I would love to have the task nuked

SH is a long term project. There are players out there who like to lose themselves in the game sometimes and SH is the way to do it. You don't have to invest time into it if you don't want to. If there was more incentive to do so, such as buildings that pay out, or even having characters who have tasks there, it would definitely help to ease the pain somewhat. Personally, I'm enjoying having that long term goal of SH completion. Plus you've got the hidden XP from having the buildings dotted about.
