Overpriced? Yes. Do I regret it?
What Jay Kay said. In fact, I just dropped another $49.99 on Donuts because the purchase cleaned me out and I still haven't purchased Ferris Wheel, Planet Hype, or Roadster.
YOU'RE WELCOME, EA! :? - Yes overpriced but enjoy the new bart skin
- Yes it was overpriced, but TOTALLY WORTH IT!

200 donuts is definitely too steep as the Film Set comes with a skin too and is only 120, also the Film Set comes with the added bonus of seeing McBain fight automaton Nazis.
Still bought it though
I... I.... I'm an addict
That's my thought - doesn't make sense that it's an extra 80 donuts for Kamp over Film Set...GamerGD3 wrote:
Yes overpriced, but I also wanted a skin for Bart, especially a premium one. I think it should have been closer to half price. Around 100-120 donuts tops. Skins shouldn't be as much as (the newest) premium characters IMO, even if they come with a building.
Agree. I'm wavering on buying the kamp or the film set, but either way I feel like I'm losing out a little. With a dedicated premium character you get the premium payout in addition to all your regular characters. With a skin, you're taking away that regular character's payout. I know it's not much to people with higher multipliers, but mine's at 27%, been playing since rerelease and I'm still so poor I don't have all the land, and am waiting to build my CMH (although I was one of the ones who couldn't get in all last wknd).
Although, now I've typed all that out, I bet a premium building & skin together is less donuts than a premium building and previous premium skin separately ("prove me wrong kids!"), I didn't buy donuts back when Mr. Plow etc were out, what did they go for? 90 donuts? I'm always looking for the best deal, for example I won't buy any premium deco that doesn't give 2% per 40 donuts. Can't justify it otherwise.
Did I just talk myself in to one of these? :mrgreen:menace1211 wrote:

As I've said, to each their own, but the utility I get from attending a concert, eating a good meal, seeing a renown play is much higher than an intangible mobile game...this isn't even on your computer, you don't own access to it. If EA decides to kill the game in December, what can you say you got from spending so much cash on it? You have nothing to show. To me, that's the biggest difference, I've played a couple of social games on Facebook like this, and after about 1-2 years, the developer took them offline, I'm happy I never spent money on them. I don't think people complain that othes spend money - you're financing the game for us - but some people don't see the point in spending the insane amounts of money people have spent on the game (i.e. people who have bought 3-5 boatloads already)mikeydluffy wrote:
Way way overpriced but can you blame EA if gullible people spend tonnes of their disposable income on this game. I just read somewhere on here that somebody was thinking of buying a boatload for the Squidport / Squishport competition. Ea must be rubbing their hands every time a new update is released knowing people on here have to get the most recent buildings and have to rush them with doughnuts, just in time for the 'What did you do?' threads
I'm sure EA's mouths ARE watering knowing we anxiously await their updates in this game. It's called successful business. No one is "gullible" for spending their disposable income on something they love to do. You spend money to go to sporting events, movies, plays, restaurants, etc. Why are there so many people in this forum that have to complain if someone else wants to buy donuts?
Thank you for realizing that the game would be over with if people were not spending money on this app. I seriously appreciate you admitting that. The big problem I have is people like yourself calling it an insane amount of money to spend on a game (3-5 boatloads). To some people that is nothing at all. We are all faceless, nameless people on an Internet forum. You have no clue how much money I make. I have no clue how much money you make. To some a boatload purchase is financially out of the question, to others, pocket change. I have yet to see one post where someone calls another out or tries to mock them for NOT purchasing donuts. I see way too many whiners on here that constantly have to put others down for their purchases. If people want to purchase something that gives them entertainment, that is no ones business but their own.
It's the same as making fun of a neighbor or relative that just bought a new expensive car. It comes off as petty and whether you intended it to or not, reeks of jealousy.
You're right. Some people don't see the point in spending real money on this game. That's fine. Some people do see the point. That's fine also.
As you can tell by my little rant here, I'm getting real tired of the whining from those that don't!
Well said menace. There are always jealous posters here. Making a dig at other people's designs, other people's in game cash, other people's premiums, other people speeding up quests and buildings. There's always something these posters are jealous of. But that's their nature. Tear people down whenever they feel inadequate. Just ignore them and leave them to whine on their own. In the meantime lets get back to designing menace.Jay_Kay_4747 wrote:

200 is definitely overpriced. What they should've done is made the Kamp a but bigger to justify the price. Had they done that, there would probably be no complaints
Don't be so sure. While JoshSherer is around, there will always be complaining.
Truth, thy name be Jay_Kay!- Some of you guys are nuts to think 200 donuts is a fair deal. How can the Filmset be 80 donuts more then Kamp Krusty? There both essentially the same value? At best, it should be 120 donuts.
- Everything is overpriced, yet people still buy them. I have unlimitted donuts so its no problem for me. would I pay a couple of quid for it though, certainly not.
- There were things in the past I felt were over priced and did not buy that item.
Each and everyone of them I regretted it and felt envy when I see the thing i passed over in other towns. Even more so if they did something really creative with it. (Except for the grasshopper.)
