Post-Act 1 Complaint

hi neighbor,
a notification or auto update would be nice for all new events, i agree. If i wasnt on the forum, i would have been in the same boat as you. i wouldnt have noticed for days or at all.

sucks about 45 donuts and feel your pain but even at that, 45 donuts is still a bargan compared to having to buy skinner from the store.
  • I brought this very same issue up last event or the event before. I have android set to auto update and notify of updates. But on it too that is not reliable for timely delivery of all updates. It was days delay. And I too had to grind like crazy to get all the stuff in that event. The game should have a popup that new content update is available the instant it is live. And the game itself should push a notification that a content update just went live as well. That way everyone will know the instant the content is live so they can start playing it.
  • The thing about this topic that I agree with is that the game needs a notification...in the game! I don't agree with forcing everyone to update as soon as they hit the store. I believe there might be technical reasons that that's not possible (such as those of us who turn off automatic updating). It would also be unfair to those of us who don't have easy access to fast internet and need to download 50 to 90 megabytes plus another 10 or so DLC.

I think the fairest solution is to keep it as it is, but to have a system message announce that there's a new update available in the store. Technically I guess we'd need to download a small DLC (maybe the same one that comes with the app store update) to initiate that. (Usually the DLC doesn't download until you get the update.) And so people don't complain that they didn't get a system message, a bug in the corner of the screen (with an exclamation point) that won't clear until you update the game.

I'd agree with that. One time when you wake, one time when you sleep, and one time during the middle of your day. After that it should just be about playing 1 or 2 more times per day to finish faster and get to the bonut rounds quicker.

Visiting neighbors should be completely optional, too. Just the same thing, to help you finish faster and also to get more crafting currency. That's it.
