Potential reasons for lack of new stuff?

I think the so-called Crazy Banana update in September has something to do with it. The Twitter post is making it out to be something amazing. I have decided that it's better to wait than to complain. Would you rather have a well-thought out event that satisfies everyone, or a rushed update which will leave everyone angry?
  • The game is going to last to at least Christmas and probably longer. If they were planning on closing it down they would not be working on a "crazy bananas update." But the thing is tapped out is still making a lot of money and with Halloween and Christmas right around the corner I think it will make even more money. I think the reason we are not getting new content is because they want to stall us in-till September. But they could of at least given us a friend point prize or something small...
  • The fact that this Otto deal seems hastily put together makes me think it's replacing something else theyve held back for development reasons. I dont have it, but the pics ive seen has a countdown to monday or tuesday.

But who knows. It's not a harbinger for the games end, it's still profitable, and why cancel a game while the show is still on the air?
  • EA can shove it up their ... . I'm not playing another second until there's a REAL update and not some "Yard Sale" or Gil deal. They're stalling it
  • If you've been buying almost all the premium buildings like I have--there's no more room to put NEW stuff!

There's no point to NEW STUFF if you have to cram everything together with few options to embellish and decorate. That's the fun part of the TSTO.

I'm seriously considering not buying anything else until we get MORE LAND.

  • My bet is they're all sipping mimosas on a beach and left these small, pre-planned updates to an intern who is in over his head.

I'm sorry for you intern, it's not your fault.

For a game which earn over $100 millions for EA last year, this is the least possible reason.

+1 that is actually not a possibility besides it was already mentioned in another thread that the game isn't ending anytime soon
