It's not new, and it's not just you. The project cap has been one of the most frustrating aspects of this event. You're fortunate if you haven't encountered it before now, but it can happen every day.
Thank yours for your quick answer, neuroheart!
I may have just not hit it before because I wasn't playing full tilt each day. I wonder why they're limiting it when the only thing you get if you complete the "Act" early is more rails? It would make sense if they were doling out donuts to early finishers....hipmama197190 wrote:

So how many blueprints did you collect in Act One since you apparently had no cap?- mwdaltonNew Spectator

I'm not sure about the OP, but I only got enough blueprints to unlock Ray Patterson 2-3 days before act 2, and I haven't reached the limit until today. mwdalton wrote:

That's because you're working too much. You need to play more and work less - mwdaltonNew Spectator

I too got Ray with about 2-3 before act 2 and had daily limits. After getting ray and releasing the cap I was able to grind and get about 55,000 more blueprints (for more tracks pieces), ending with a total of a little under 150,000 I think.
If you had no cap at all it seems like you could have generated a lot more blueprints during the first week or so of the event and would have gotten Ray much earlier. But maybe you didn't have time to tap that much? In that case how do you know that there were no limits? And keep in mind it was a rolling cap, it wasn't a hard daily cap of 4500 or whatever per day. Possibly you didn't start the event on day one or just didn't turn in many on the earlier days so it just looked like you had no limit?stinkbugger wrote:

I think this is probably close to what happened. There were quite a few days that I didn't hit the cap because I was too busy to max out, and all that rolled over. I've hit the cap for the last couple days, however, because I had a little time to shore up my resources after unlocking Ray. (I unlocked him about nine hours before he expired, BTW, cut it fairly close.)- :(
So...while the blueprints Act 1 stuff was going on, we were supposed to have caps/"Complete" each day?
Cause I totally didn't and now in Act 2 I do. Ahead of the Track would always increase by 1000 each day and I wasn't limited by how many blueprints I could earn via projects.
Crapbaskets. - Are the caps related to the number of items (duct tape) that you can get per day, or the number of projects you can complete? I was wondering if it was more beneficial to do the larger projects (which cost more metal and plastic) vs. the small ones that only yield a few blueprints.
