Act ii in two days. Keep those challenges open as they should convert from Act I currency (Fangs) to Act II Currency (Fur, I believe).

Correct you can complete the task but don't claim them till after act 2 starts tomorrow and they will switch over to the new stuff. I remember your previous mishap prior to the event. prior to event don't complete them, during the event you can complete them.
