Pumpkin and spooky house?

I'm not too concerned about the pumpkin house as I have one from last year, but I was curious as to what I had to do to unlock to be able to craft them? Do I have to craft Hugo first?


grand pumpkin unlocks the questline for the pumpkin house and hugo unlocks the questline for spooky house.
So yes you need Hugo

    Yes, you have to craft the item immediately above it, then get through the quest line to the point it says.

    Supposedly you'll be able to craft however many you want. I haven't gotten that far yet but it makes sense.
