Forum Discussion
Actually I do have life. One that involves discussion and resolution.
Perhaps I should have said "we" instead of just me. I meant it for everyone having issues. Sorry for not making that clear.
My sound is on but only two items that had sound NO LONGER HAVE SOUND.
If I choose to play and bring up items that would displease the average player, that's my right. If me quitting would fix everyone's problems I would happily sacrifice this game for the whole community. I'd find another way to play. It is a game after all.
Perhaps you should get a refresher course on writing, reading, and some manners.
+1- I haven't experienced these crashes on my tablet, however the game won't even open on my phone because it insists I don't have enough storage, even though I do. I think it depends on your device...although I agree they should try to make it more compatible with ALL devices.

Guys they may still be working on the servers. They had a major outage done by hackers a couple of weeks ago and it might have been them this last week but not sure on that. These hackers have now been dealt with and it shouldn't happen again. But there could still be problems with the server which need fixing. It's not a quick fix. So just be patient it will come right. Just not sure on how long. :-)
Yes, I recall LP's post about that. That's a good way to look at these issues, thanks for that. It does make sense.
Also, I'm on a iPhone 5, is that not an iOS device ?
For those just advising to call EA, perhaps a portion of my post has been missed.
It must be just me out of millions that's bothered by an item I paid donuts for (real life money) that doesn't work properly. I loved the sound of the ghost ship but I should just accept it's sound failure. I hope this small but bothering issue also gets resolved sometime soon.
Cheers
The people advising to contact ea again are correct. Many of us can attest- multiple contacts with them are needed occasionally, sometimes you just need to get the right advisor. But if your issues are truly on their end, then only they can fix it and you need to contact them again. And again if that doesn't solve it, be nice, explain yourself, if they try to pass you to the forums- say I did that and they said call you back. Their answer was bs in short, and you need to try again and find the right rep to talk to EvaMohlin wrote:

Im sorry, but I can't help but reacting. Game crasching - irritating, but mine crashed after each visit for a while. X-mas presents not to your liking - how old are you, really?
"I feel I deserve a game without so many problems." OMG. Why do you deserve this, what about those who were "victimes" of the hacker attacks and could not play for a couple of days?
"Why does the sound clip on some PREMIUM items come and go after "updates". Turn the sound off? Is that an option?
Why don't you stop playing. Maybe that will make EA get their act together?
wow, what a pleasant response....
- Maybe my problem is that I come from a generation where you dont think that you "deserve" sh*t, especially from a free game (paying real money is optional). You work for it, you have patience if there is a problem, you may raise a flag if you think it can help, but you dont complain about free gifts and things not being exactly the way you want (especially the "it was much better last year" ) and the title of the thread is "Pushing your luck EA.... " - really?. Pushing your luck....? (Thats why the Stop playing - comment).
Also, being a programmer for 25 years I react strongly to someone saying that their problem is a "easily fixed thing". How do you know that? - dubble post, deleted

I come from a generation that learned manners and how to speak to people with respect. - Certain posts here are being hidden due to personal attacks and/or bypassing the swear filter.

+1 this!
Seriously a person is allowed to rant once in a while. No need to bash the person. Also being a programmer and being a business person are 2 very different things. Sometimes when you own a business you just have to take crap for the sake of not angering and pushing away costumers.
Also for someone that has been in a field that WILL have ignorant people commenting on you sure didn't grow a thick skin. You can't expect everyone to understand the difficulties of debugging programs. Though I'd like to point out that having a company the size of EA on a project most likely means they have more then one or two people doing work like that. So it shouldn't take them this long to fix issues. I think that's where the OPs anger is at.- I also have no issues with crashing, and from what I read this winter event is better then last year. No on like the wheel, hence the gag with a broken wheel for a prize for those who participated last year.
I hear older phones & devices have issues. This is why no new land expansion will happen for a while.
