Question about visual tasks

From what I've seen when bf visits my town, it's based on the skin being worn, and the visual tasks I set are what I see. We could test that, though, since we're neighbors. You could tell me what tasks you can see in my town and I'll see if they line up with the characters doing visual tasks, and vise versa.

Right, and that's why Otto, Legs and Louie just wander about when on an indoor task. Are there others? The thing about Largo is he has a couple independent visual tasks and (from what I've seen) he never gets assigned one of them. Do you know if that's true for others?

Edit: Oh, and if all your characters are on task, I can check for any wanderers.

I just tested this. All characters that were on indoor tasks, were outside in the skins they were wearing inside and just randomly walking. Characters on outdoor task were doing what I left them doing as were skinned characters doing what I left them doing and in skin. I found one inconsistency. I put Mrs. Quimby on her go shopping task. Looking in on her he was just walking around like she was doing it but wasn't carrying shopping bags or clothes. so I guess it's a tad random but pretty much how you left them.

Does Otto's Sleep it Off task count as indoor? That's what I usually keep him on.

Thanks for all the answers! I currently have all my characters assigned to tasks. I'd be interested to know if any are just wandering around.

I'd set up a feeder town to test this stuff up but I'm too afraid that it would be a very slippery slope and I already spend way too much town in the one town I have.

It would probably be easier to start with which characters you have doing visual tasks you want your neighbors to see since just listing the characters we see outdoors in each other's towns would be a long list. In my town I've specifically set the following characters doing tasks in specific places. Let me know if they are or aren't there.

Frink should be testing his gizmo outside his lab in the castle complex

Mrs. Bouvier should be knitting outside spinster city apts.

Flanders should be riding the ski lift.

Willy should be generating power to run the ski lift.

Fat Tony is chilling in his hot tub.

Radioactive Man is shirking his responsibilities.

Cletus is eating out of the Stomach Staple Center dumpster.

That should be enough for now.
