Same here, for the most part - no NPCs, no one not from the show or characters with whom I'm not familiar. The last character I bought was the French Waiter, because his episode Is probably my all-time-favorite. I randomlY demand that people say say Chowdah. So, spend donuts only on what enhances your town, not just what is momentarily available.
