I used to see these every week and think similar thoughts to the complaints here....until I forgot it was Rail Yard day. Now I view it as a friendly reminder that I don't always need but also that I don't need to get bent out of shape because of just because I'm normally so dammn prefect. ;)

It won't work as a reminder if it's the same thread getting bumped. Logic will give you the reasons for that.

the title of the thread is "rail yard day" it will remind everyone just the same as if it was bumped as it will if there is a new thread.
Is there something wrong with posting in a week old thread?

Sorry to disagree, but the “mono” threads are not spam, technically or otherwise. Second, this ongoing debate strikes me as pointless. The forum isn’t a democracy where we need to poll all of the members. This is a mod question. Or am I missing something?

The person said that it's not bothering others so I simply asked how does he know did he ask everyone. Posting the same thread or as near to it is classed as spamming so yeah it is. Why can't the op just BUMP his original thread?

Whether or not it bothers you is kinda moot. Yeah, the OP could bump the original thread, but apparently it’s not a forum requirement. You’re acting as though you want to be a mod, but you’re not. Just ask one of ’em if this bugs you so much. I would imagine that none of them would care much one way or the other (especially since opinion seems to be divided between those who dislike the multiple threads, those who like them, and those — like me — who don’t understand what all of the fuss is about), but maybe I’m wrong.
