Yeah, and it's not like the RailYard workers don't have other things to do - like fighting enormous crobsters! Oh well, it's been taking me 4-5 days to finish instead of the usual 3.

I've been *farming* approx. 45 KEM's 2-3 times per day for the past few weeks, and the only reason it takes more than a minute each time is because they absolutely refuse to be laid-out in straight lines. :lol:
Time lost depends on multiple circumstances. Like TwigletStyx says, it'll take you some time depending where you place them. Amount to place, multiplier (how many KEM will gain you a level) and possible double donut boxes will take most of your time.
You could always get a feel and try it out with minimal amounts of KEMs so you won't lose a lot of money.
The 22th KEM and every one before will rack up a combined cost of $44.370,00.
Low amounts of KEM placed shouldn't take longer than a minute, minute-and-a-half every time you place/collect.
